It's International Day on Thursday, 30 OCT. The schedule will be a little mixed up for everyone in the school that day. Here's a little note from Mr. Lorenzini on how the day will look:
- Parade of Nations to start from elephant courtyard at 7:30. EC at the front of the parade (with UN flag) followed by all the other countries in alphabetical order.
- Parade through the school via the EC gate to the field, as children pass the center of the field their country name is announced so that they can be acknowledged by all the parents on the field. They are streamed into grade level groups by the grassy area in front of covered court.
- Assembly to start no later than 8:30. Children will then be dismissed to classrooms.
- Upper elementary (Grade Three to Grade Five) will be on the field between 10:20 and 11:40
- Lunch will be at the usual time at 11:40 (normal duties).
- Continue with regular school day with specialist classes after lunch.
- Math: Speed Tests - still plugging away on the 7s and 8s.
- Math Mates, Term 2 Sheet 1 Due on Thursday, 30 OCT
- We're launching into Unit 3 in Math. Take a look at the Parent Letter to see what we'll be focusing on.
- Please have your Angles and Lines presentation uploaded to Google Drive and shared with Mr. Nonato so he can put them up here on the blog.
- The first Grade 5 assembly will take place on Friday, 7 NOV. We'll be working on this quite a bit in the next couple of weeks.
