Congrats to the students of 5N...Please remember to support the other classes in their fundraising projects!
Thanks to everyone that helped out with our bake sale! It was a huge success, with our class raising more than enough funds for our upcoming trip to Mikumi. Swarms of children came from all over the campus demanding the delicious treats 5N students created the night before. 5N children learned some important lessons during this sale - that it's hard to think when there are 5 children talking to you at the same time, and the importance of a line to maintain order.

On Thursday, Mr. Ibra of the Maasai came by our classroom to talk about how he and the people in his village live, highlighting how they protect their boarders and everything within them from lions and other unwanted visitors from the outside. The students had a lengthy question and answer period with him to wrap up the 40 minute session. Thanks to Mr. Ibra for coming in to talk to us. Hope to see you again soon. This Friday, 6 September, it's 5N's turn to sell treats during morning recess. We're raising funds for the Mikumi Village School children so that they'll be able to come on a game drive and enjoy a dinner with us during our time in Mikumi. We're hoping the students of 5N will be the ones actually doing the baking - we want them to put in the time and effort in this fundraising project, to make their contributions more meaningful. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with!
